Standing4BlackGirls Murdered and Missing Community Action

On April 2nd in Leimert Park, the #Standing4BlackGirls coalition will have a community action, speak out and artmaking event amplifying missing and murdered Black girls and women across sexuality.
Fact: In 2020, homicides of Black women in CA nearly doubled.
Fact: In 2020, of the 268,884 girls and women who were reported missing in the U.S., 90,333, or nearly 34% of them, were Black, according to the National Crime Information Center.
Fact: Black girls and women account for only about 15% of the U.S. female population. In contrast, white girls and women — made up 59% of the missing, while accounting for 75% of the overall female population.
Fact: Black women and girls have some of the highest domestic violence and intimate partner violence death rates in the nation.
